I think it is always super handy to have a recipe for bubbles on hand. My kids have spilled so much bubble solution and sometimes it ends in tears when there are no more bubbles. These unbreakable bubbles take only five minutes to make and are great for all those empty bubble wands we keep accumulating.

I have been trying to get my kids outdoors more and we are doing the 1,000 hours outside challenge. Even our small yard seems to work and my kids really enjoy it too. Having a few activities we can do outdoors has helped us to get outside too. These bubbles were great for an afternoon outside.

⭐ Are these bubbles really unbreakable?

While they last much longer than regular bubbles these bubbles will eventually pop. They are a lot of fun to make and see floating around.

⭐ Ingredients and supplies needed

I have played around with this recipe several times. I find that to make these bubbles really last awhile you need both corn syrup and glycerine. The starch will help them keep their shape as well.

To make the bubble solution, you will need:

  • Water: If possible, try using distilled water. Tap water will also work though.
  • Dish soap: I find that ultra concentrated Dawn has worked the best. I used store brand dish soap and the bubbles didn’t last nearly as long.
  • White corn syrup
  • Glycerine
  • Corn starch: Also called corn flour in other parts of the world (outside of the US).
  • Bubble wands

⭐ How to make these bubbles

To make these unbreakable bubbles, gather and measure out your ingredients.

In a bowl or large tupperware container combine the water and corn starch. Let is dissolve. Whisk in everything else together.

Remove the excess bubbles from the top with a large spoon (the bubbles on top won’t make for very good bubbles).
