It squeezes everybody in at some point with an opportunity to use their signature spells. The movie rushes through its pacing to the point where there's no tension, which means there's then no pay-off. And there's no time to build any pathos either. The villains are staged to be sympathetic villains whose cause has been corrupted (very on-brand for the series) but you don't get time to see that. The writing advice "show don't tell" comes to mind.Ultimately, they tried to put a 12hr season worth of story into a 2hr movie. As a fan Black Clover, it's ok, but unsatisfying.
